Izhmash Saiga-12 11" SBS

Description

This is a Russian Saiga-12 by Izhmash. It was imported by the FIME Group. It was sent to Sierra Ordnance Co. of Sparks, NV. The barrel was shortened to 11" & threaded by Tromix. Because of the size of the gas ports, it does get dirty very quickly. The receiver was modified to accept an AK-100 5.5mm rear block. An Izzy 100 series stock was installed. The handguard is an AK-9 lower handguard, modified in Russia by adding a spring & detent to work with the front latch for the stock locking mechanism of a Saiga-12. The finish is Graphite black Cerakote over parkerizing. This was applied to the barreled receiver, flash hider, dust cover, gas tube, selector & gas regulator. There are a few scratches here & there, mostly on the dust cover. This was 1 of 4 guns SOC did for me & it managed to not get its NFA engraving before shipping to my SOT. I was going to return it to get this done after my Form 4 cleared, but my SOT just took it upon himself to engrave it with an electro-pencil. I just went over it with a Sharpie. It's ugly, but it's legal. Thankfully, it's on the bottom of the gun. I believe I've put about 100 rounds through it. I've only been able to get it to run reliably with Remington 00-buck 2¾" magnums & 3" magnums with the gas regulator set to setting 6/6. I have 2 extra recoil springs from CSS that I haven't had a chance to try out. I wanted to try cutting them down to get it to run the 100rd value-packs (usually #7½, low brass). I was recently told by the SOT who converted it that it has 6 gas ports measuring 0.110" each. NOTE: This gun is on a Form 4 in Louisiana. You will have three options; 1.) It can be transferred to your in-state SOT on a Form 4, then to you on a Form 4. 2.) I can demil the receiver & ship you a parts kit. 3.) We can arrange to have it shipped to an FFL who can extend the barrel with a pinned & welded muzzle extension at your expense.
