acpjunkieBarret MRAD 16.25in 308 barrel and Barret muzzle break. There's the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly... The Good, just about as short as you can go with this platform. It also shoots phenomenal with minimal zero shift when swapping barrels. The Bad. Started off as a 17.5 barrel that I bought second hand. Original owner had the barrel panted or coated FDE. looks fine. Now the Ugly... I bought the barrel with a Surefire muzzle device that had been rockset to the threads. I took it to a local "gunsmith" to have him pull the muzzle device. This semi literate ape managed to strip the threads when removing the muzzle device. He then cut and re-threaded the barrel as a favor since he fucked it up. Well he managed to cut the threads non-concentric to the bore... Well he then took it to a real machinist who cut it to 16 1/4 and rethreaded... This guy is no longer a gunsmith or even has a business... Trade offers welcomed.
